Blood And Velvet

Posted on February 7, 2025March 8, 2025 By Mohit Tolani 6 Comments on Blood And Velvet
Just when I was about to leave,
Fate pulled me by the sleeve...

The stars did not fall from the sky,
From her open hair, they slipped goodbye...

My feet stood cold,
Like a memory old...

Me? Just a vagabond,
With stories untold...

She? Just a mystery,
Yet untold...

Her steps were slow,
Like that of death’s glow...

Her eyes met mine,
Like the best of the wine...

She pulled me in close,
As if a secret she chose...

Her touch was like fire,
But I didn’t care...

Her lips, soft and warm like velvet,
Whispered to me tonight, “We can’t forget.”

Like wolves came the gangs,
Eyes on her throne...

But she was a queen,
And they mere stones...

She handed me a gun,
Her fingers like fire...

A weapon in my hand,
Fueling our desires...

The first shot rang,
Like a bell that sang...

With every shot fired,
Our lips met in the frenzy...

A kiss in the chaos,
After every kill...

We burned, no pause,
The blood of others splattered...

On the cold, hard ground,
Amidst which our love...

Knew no bounds...

With each shot that rang,
Our clothes fell away...

A symphony of skin,
As we danced in disarray...

Her skin against me,

A fire that burned bright...

The world around me disappeared,
In the pleasure of the night...

Bullets whizzed past,
Like death’s kiss...

Yet in her arms,
I found my bliss...

The air thick with,
Smoke and rage...

The storm of bullets,
A deadly stage...

Men fell like shadows,
Cut by the light...

A dance of death,
In the moonless night...

Through the haze,

Our hearts beat fast...

A twisted love,
In a world overcast...

The ground beneath,
Was now stained red...

A river of life,
Now turned dead...

The last shot came,
Like a ghost in the night...

Her blood mixed with mine,
As we fought the fight...

Together we ran,
Through the molten gold...

The waterfall turning,
Burning the river bold...

The gang was no more,

Lost in the flames...

But our love, like the fire,
Remained untamed...

The gold, it burned,
But we didn’t care...

For in that moment,
We were everywhere...

What next? A road untold?
Or fate’s whisper in embers cold?©
