Nature in My Eyes

A gentle breeze begins to flow,
Little raindrops showering soft;
A cloudy sky giggles low,
Leaves of trees dripping zephyrs aloft.

The mountains enjoy the little rain
With gentle breeze and misty crest;
Birds, peace, and quiet serenity,
All whisper to the woodland trees.

What if all this disappears?
Global warming at its dreadful peak:
Scorching heat beating upon the street,
Glow, flow, or melting snow.

Warm currents blow across the land,
The rains stop abruptly in their flight;
The air turns humid, choked with dust,
The green leaves wither from our sight.

Then there will be no singing birds,
No quiet whispers in the glade;
Because global warming will be at its peak,
And illnesses will rise into our skies.

Everywhere heat stroke, dengue and malaria,
Dehydration and waterborne despair—
A world trapped in rising hysteria!
The heat brings unending pain and strain,
Polluted air falls down like acid rain.

Our health grows weak, our skies turn grey,
We must act before tomorrow slips away!
